ACS announces inaugural JACS Au editor-in-chief and nine gold open access journals launching in 2021 The inaugural Editor-in-Chief for the fully open access journal, JACS Au, is Christopher W. Jones, Ph.D., of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Chris Jones previously served as editor-in-chief of ACS Catalysis since its founding in 2010.
ACS is also announcing the expansion of the ACS Au portfolio with nine new journals launching in 2021. Each journal will publish research in specific areas of chemistry and will be fully open access. The suite of titles will be led by a new editor-in-chief who will maintain the high standards for which ACS journals are renowned. The titles will meet the publishing needs of researchers who choose to publish in fully open access journals or are required by their funders to publish in completely open access journals.

ACS Supports Open Science with a new Read-and-Publish Agreement In July, a new open access agreement was signed between ACS and the Polish Academic Consortium. The agreement, which lasts through 2022, will benefit 51 institutions across Poland and will enable hundreds of articles to be made open access each year.
